Summer Hanging Baskets and Troughs Brighten New Alresford
New Alresford Town Council is delighted to confirm that this year’s hanging baskets and trough displays have now been installed throughout the town.
The colourful displays are a much-loved feature of New Alresford each summer and help create a welcoming and attractive environment for residents, visitors and local businesses alike.
This year’s installation took place slightly later than usual following advice from our supplier, WindowFlowers. The exceptionally warm weather earlier in the season meant that additional time was needed to care for and water the plants before they were ready for installation. As specialists in this field, WindowFlowers advised that a later installation would help ensure the displays establish successfully and remain at their best throughout the summer months.
Residents may notice that some baskets do not look fully established immediately after installation. This is completely normal. The baskets are designed to settle and flourish once they are in position, and we expect them to continue developing over the coming weeks.
WindowFlowers will be carrying out the watering and maintenance programme throughout the season. To help achieve the best results, residents with hanging baskets are kindly asked not to provide any additional watering, as this can affect the growth and development of the plants.
The Town Council would like to thank all residents and businesses who have supported the hanging basket scheme this year. We look forward to seeing the displays flourish and add plenty of colour to the town throughout the summer.
