Fire Safety Advice from Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service

Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service is encouraging residents to take a few simple steps to help keep themselves, their families and their homes safe from fire.
As part of its community safety work, the Fire and Rescue Service has shared useful advice for residents, including specific guidance for those living in thatched properties.
Residents can also access a free Home Fire Safety Visit, which provides practical, personalised advice to help reduce the risk of fire in the home.
During a visit, the Fire and Rescue Service can offer guidance on fire prevention and help residents understand how they can make their home safer.
We’ll be sharing the accompanying fire safety information and leaflets to help raise awareness within our community.
These simple checks and precautions can make a real difference in helping to keep our homes and community safe
