A barbershop is backing the next generation of footballers by sponsoring a youth team.
ASH Barbers in Alresford is supporting the U15 Lions, part of Alresford Town Youth Football Club, who play in the Tyro League.
The sponsorship will see the barbershop’s name displayed on the team’s home shirts for the 2025/26 season.
Rahmat Salar Salimi from ASH said: “Alresford has shown a clear demonstration of what it means to live as one community and it has supported us over many years now.
“It’s time to give something back which is why we’re so pleased to sponsor the U15 Lions this year.
“We hope they win and win well wearing the shirt.”
The team is under new management this season.
Coach Karl Fletcher said: “We’ve just taken over the running of the team and it’s great to start with a new strengthened squad and such a supportive new sponsor.
“The boys are playing in a really competitive league but are more than up for the challenge and looking to compete across league and cup this year.
“Winning our first round cup match 9-0 last weekend was a good start to the campaign.”
